Faculty Roles in Emeritus College
Faculty roles in the Emeritus College include representing the Emeritus College on the Faculty Senate/Faculty Council, as well as serving on the Executive and other Emeritus College Committees.

Members of Emeritus College continue to participate in faculty governance by serving three-year terms as members of the University Senate committees.

Executive Committee
The Executive Committee consists of 12 members including committee chairs and representatives from the major units of Emory University, Candler School of Theology, Emory College of Arts and Sciences, Goizueta Business School, Laney Graduate School, the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing, Oxford College, Rollins School of Public Health, the School of Law, and the School of Medicine. The Executive Committee meets several times a year and provides advice and guidance to the director in the administration of programs and activities.

Emeritus College Committees
Awards and Honors Committee
This committee oversees the selection of recipients for various awards, clarifies the requirements for various awards and honors, and solicits nominations for awards and honors.
Mind Matters Committee
The Mind Matters Committee oversees all programming that furthers matters of the mind. With the help of other Emeritus College members, this committee selects and schedules speakers for the Lunch Colloquiums, supports the development of Interdisciplinary Seminars, celebrates emeriti achievements in the arts, and selects the Sheth Distinguished Lecturer each year.
Retirement Mentoring Committee
This committee sponsors the Faculty Retirement Mentoring program and helps match trained mentors with faculty members considering retirement.
